Round 7 of the 2008 SOCCS is August 9th at Humboldt Hills
The Southern Ohio Cross Country Series rolls back into Bainbridge, Ohio for
Round 7 of the 2008 Season.
On August 9th, 2008 Humboldt Hills Motorcycle Club will host the race named
"Summer Solstice"
"This course will be much like round 5 at the club, tight and technical!
The weather is looking sweet with some showers this week to knock the dust down,
sunny and highs around 78 degrees" promoter, Jay Wile explains.
"We saw some big names like Brandon Sommers and Bill Ballance at Rd 6, so
whats in store for rd 7, you will have to come and see to find out"
The SOCCS is in its 5th year and counting. The series has a great reputation of
a fun filled family environment and races are on time and very well organized.
A harescramble is a race against the clock on a long course, 4-6 miles for big
bikes/atvs that race for up to 2 hours
and 1-2 miles for the young kids that race 45 minutes. The course will include open
fields, tight woods,
some motocross and creek crossings. It is a true test of a riders skill and patience
as the racer will need to conserve enough energy to finish the race as fast as they
started it.
There are classes for all sizes of machines and all ages of riders will compete.
A harescramble is also a safe alternative to motorcross for the new riders. This
is because the riders will get spread out throughout the long course and will be
riding against the clock instead of a pack of riders.
The SOCCS features a yearend awards ceremony for riders competing in 80% of
the
races. They are known for there great awards and product give always!

Moose Racing Youth Day Triathlon
Sunday April 20th, 2008
Thanks to all the riders and parents who came out to enjoy the day with us.
This is our favorite race of the year, we hope everyone had as much fun as we
all did!

That had to be the smoothest Youth Day ever. Perfect weather, perfect track
conditions, The finest folks on earth and some awesome kids with big smiles!!!
I know I say it every year, but I always forget how much busier I get on youth
day and I wish I had more time to talk to everyone. Sometimes I know people
might have asked me something and it took me a minute or 2 to answer. Just
had so many aspects of the day going through my head it was hard to focus.
So please don't think I was a jerk, my brain was just running.

Again a huge thanks to Josh at Wilkin excavating!!!!! Without him, the track
would have been boring. That guys can run circles around anyone I know in a
bobcat. and I have several hundred hours in one. The good news is, he says he
is coming back out to make it even better!

Also thanks to Steve at Weigold Photography, the best pics in the USA and a
pleasure to deal with. Thanks Steve!!

Of course Moose Racing!!!!! They have been helping us for 5 years now, and
we couldn't do it without them! not to mention sponsoring a bunch of our
riders!!

Last but certainly not least, the great members of Humboldt Hills!!!!!!!
That don't ask for anything but a good time. And if I can't give them that, they
make it happen!

...03-16-08...Rd1 of 2008 SOCCS is in the books. It will go down in the history
books as the muddiest race ever at Humboldt Hills. From the start of the 50cc
machine at 9am to the end of the atvs at 5pm, the riders never found the
bottom. If there even was a bottom under the slop. A big, huge thanks to all the
great folks that came out to play in the mud with us! Check the results page for
all the scores and laptimes. Also keep your eyes peeled for the
Resch Report.
